Has anyone added a front or rear storage tray on their cart to have two storage trays total? Thinking I can store more stuff and it would take longer for would-be thieves to steal my stuff.

Have one in both the front and back. Keep permanent golf cart stuff in the back like suntan lotion, binoculars and map of the Villages and use the one in the front for miscellaneous stuff depending on the day’s activities. Have never had anything stolen from the golf cart including the Bluetooth speaker mounted to a water bottle holder on the rear roof support. Correction, have had a sandwich, bag of nuts, etc… stolen from the cart while golfing by both birds and those aggressive Sherman’s fox squirrels.

We have a front overhead storage tray from the Villages and it sure is noisy. Any recommendations on how to "quiet" it up?

Two suggestions, first try a towel or similar in the tray, if that does not work, I have been looking at installing an additional brace from the tray to the roof to reduce movement.

I will look at that. Being in a tool die shop my guys should be able to fab something up.

I ordered this on Monday for a Drive 2 and it came on Friday, shipped from Elgin,IL. It's pretty study with nice metal brackets on the end. Had to move the top of the sunbrella covers to get at the roof/support pole bolts. Put some sheet metal screw in the front of the shelf for added support. The only thing I didn't like was that the metal brackets are attached to the shelf with pop rivets. Last edited by Bilyclub; 08-05-2023 at 02:03 PM. Reason: add |

A simple "L" piece of aluminum about 4 inches long with a screw in the roof and one in the tray. I used stainless steel machine screw, and drilled the hole too SMALL so the screw made a set of threads in the roof, and I added some GOOP to make this completely water tight and rust proof. The hole in the aluminum was large enough for the piece to slide over the threads, and then a wing nut to tighten. I used a similar SS screw and a nut on the tray area with both holes large enough for the screw to pass through.
