Have decided on a Yamaha gas cart. Visited the Villages Golf Shop and was impressed by the salesman there and there locations in TV for service. Someone I talked to mentioned there was also a Yamaha dealer on 27 near Ocala that might be cheaper overall and delivers to the TV. Looking for any comments or opinions about one Yamaha dealer vs the other.

I have purchased two from The Villages. They are close by and great with service. Ocala dealer maybe a little cheaper, but TV has been here for years and years.

We've looked at the Yamaha carts that both those dealers have put together. I personally like the way Carts and Clubs, the dealer in Ocala, does their windshield (seems sturdier than what we saw at TV dealer), the side and rear curtains (tied into the windshield better), and the way they did any electrical add-ons (all tie into a separate/auxilliary fuse block that they install vs. separate wiring to the battery or other existing circuits for these things). Granted, it's been about a year since we looked at them at that level of detail - things might have changed since then. On the other side of the coin, TV dealer gave an additional year of warranty beyond the factory warranty which is always a good thing. TV dealer is obviously closer. But the other dealer is in TV at least once (maybe more?) per week to do pick ups and drop offs of carts for service work.
Buy what you like from the dealer you like - you'll be fine either way you go! Enjoy - Bill |

The Villages Golf Cart Store is "GREAT"
Nice bunch of folks and they have an interest in the Villages and I felt did me right. They will service the cart, give you a loaner, pickup and return to you at your home. ![]()

I have used the Village golf for service and will never use them again. I would find the best deal from either dealer, but I would have the cart serviced by someone who knows golf cars better. Warranty work can be done by either dealer if the need arised.

I don't own a Yamaha.
I have heard mostly good things about The Villages Golf Carts. Were I to purchase a Yamaha I would consider their accessibility by cart a big plus. |

I bought a 2010 gas Yamaha from the dealer on 301 near Ocala. Price better than villages, they put together a better cart, and service is same day immediate. he does most of my work right in my driveway. I highly recommend them.

Bought my 2010 Yamaha Gas from Carts and Clubs in Ocala. Previous cart from TV golf carts. There really is a significant difference in the way Carts and Clubs make the curtains and lights. Much better fit, tabs to remove snaps, less leaking during rain, zippers seem to be higher quality and light options have a better safety factor. Price was about $1000 less then TV at the time I bought. So far service has been excellent. Had the light bar on back of roof lose a light and the annual service. Both done in my driveway the next dat after request. Also at the time I bought they had more options available.
So today if I need a new cart, I will go back to Carts and Clubs first.

I bought my 2010 Yamaha Gas from Carts and Clubs in Ocala three weeks ago and I love it. I also belive you get a better cart than the villages can provide. Some additional things not mentioned above that The Villages Carts don't have is extra insulation under the seat to quiet the ride, a zipper plastic window behind the front seat to help with the air flow, and a better sunbrella set-up. My friend has a new Villages Yamaha Gas Cart and took me for a ride. One thing I noticed as we were driving was constantly getting hit by his side sunbrella curtain as it flapped in the breeze. Carts and Clubs comes to The Village at least twice a week and more when needed.
Check out both locations and decide for yourself which is the better cart- I think you will choose Carts and Clubs and save money too! ![]() |

I bought one of their reconditioned carts at Sumter Landing Store. The salespeople were wonderful and then came the problems. Their service stinks. My cart backfired from the day I got it. They picked it up and re-adjusted the carborater. I lived in NY at the time and left it for a month putting the fuel additive they recommended. When I got back it would not move. I was selling my house and needed it moved to my friends house since the service manager told me she could not pick it up for 3 weeks. She told me to push it to his house. Finally they told me they would put in a new engine, but put in a reconditioned engine. Needless to say after threatening to sue them, that was the only way I got satisfaction. I will not shop there again. Go to Ocala.

We also highly recommend Carts & Clubs of Ocala 352-351-2278. Purchased a new Yamaha in February of 09 from the owners Ted & Connie. Have a nice invoice sheet of accessories with prices listed to help you decide. You'll find they have more to choose from in accessories. (Speedometer, Fuel Gauge in Dash, Personal Key, Extended Exhaust Pipe, LED Roof Bar Lights, some of the things we're happy we added) You end up with a personalized cart made just for you and at a better price. We would not recommend if we didn't plan on purchasing again.

The Villages and Carts and Clubs are close on prices. Carts and Clubs builds a better cart, as others have posted. Their enclosure is better quality and the quarter panels tuck under the seat and this leaves the sand bottles easy to get at. This is not the case with the Villages, their rear panels, when down, make the sand bottles a hassle to get at.
Carts and Clubs are in the Villages twice a week and service carts at your house. We bought our cart there and will buy our next one there as well. Charlie |

Reading these posts make me wonder if I made a mistake buying at the Villages. I can't overlook the extra year of warranty though and figure it could be worth lots of dollars in the long run. I can't say anything about the Ocala place, but the Villages Cart place has been excellent everytime I've done business with them. No problems with the cart, but have been back several times to buy a few extras.

This is a post I made on another thread. I hope it helps here. Prices are all done around 11-10-10.
In doing my research I'm comparing apples to apples for 2011 Yamaha Gas including tax. TV Golf cars loaded $9032(in house 5 yr warranty plus $75 per year maintenance). At Carts and Clubs in Ocala $9719(in house 5 yr warranty). TNT (mail order) delivered is $7432 (no tax or warranty). Discount Golf Cart World $7671(in house 5 yr warranty). All warranties, I am told, are in house since the high speed gears voids the manufacturer's warranty. I know that DGCW are not listed as new because the dealer cannot get new carts from Yamaha because TV Carts has the franchise. But they are new. How old can they be? They are 2011. Now apples to apples (or as close as I could get) of local dealers DGCW is lowest over TV Carts by $1361. That's a lot of service! Cheaper than Carts and Clubs by $2048. Only the mail order can beat DGCW. Is it really worth it to go to TV Carts? I read on posts that Carts and Clubs was cheaper than TV but... that's not what their price sheet says that I got yesterday. What am I missing?????
