Current experience life of Lithium batteries is well over 5 years.
Finally, some positive clarity!

Sounds reasonable and practical. Future generations and the earth thanks you!

Yes, because all of that electricity comes from the "electricity fairy" and is completely non-polluting and does nothing to add the the "DREADED" global warming...

P.S. I would HAVE used MORE capitalized WORDS, but I DIDN'T want to WRITE a THESIS...

Really, how comes its in short supply. Manufacturing might get cheap but raw lithium will never go down.

Yup. Here's a typical Lithium mine...

Actually the post is about the less than optimal battery capacity for tooling around The Villages and not really about climate mythology. You might try typing "solar cycle 25" and "grand solar minimum" or "conformation bias" into a search engine of your choice.

Can you share the specifics. Thank you. What was installed, by whom, how long ago? This would be great info, and a sticky thread for this purpose would be great.

Had it done 6 months ago at the club car dealer in Tampa. They removed and recycled the lead batteries and installed the Roy Power battery pack

The lithium battery weighs hundreds of pounds less than the lead acid batteries. The cart is 2 MPH faster than before with WOT

I converted my 2019 Yamaha PTV to Lithium myself. I removed almost 400 lbs net (my cart had 8ea 6v batteries). The new battery w/ charger, delivered to my door, cost ~ $2700 in Oct 2021. It took me about 2.5 hours to convert it. Removed the old batteries, which were still fine, and easily sold them $50 each within a week. Cart is lighter, handles better, acceleration is waaayyy better and stops better with less weight. I live in the Pine Hills/Pine Ridge part of the villages, have gone up to Lopez for 18 holes and back home with NO concern at all. If you want to convert yours, send me a msg. I'd be happy to help...and no...I don't get commission. I've had 4 new Yamaha PTV's since 2017, both gas and electric, and don't see myself ever going back to gas.

Yamaha Golf Car PowerTech Li - Yamaha Golf Car

Its like they put near zero effort into this....
Maybe the PTV version will have a bigger battery...But that would make sense, so probably not
It would also make sense to have turn signals and the comfy seat standard in the PTV...That not going to happen.
But, hey! What can you expect for $15K? ...HeHe.
Look at the picture, they are golf course carts, not modified village carts. Yamaha don’t sell villages modified cart. batteries are plenty big enough to run all day on golf course so you rant about Yamaha cause you don’t sell them is sneaky way to steer the greenhorn new villagers to you brand.

Other than 38 mile range, it seems OK....
