I bought the above golf cart in Feb of this year.
We have been gone for a couple of weeks and my daughter tells me the battery is dead. Will not take a charge. I talked to the dealer and they said it is possible to have thw "smart stick" (turn signal/light switch) on the wrong setting. There are three settings. One for head lights low/high beam. One in the middle which is blank. The third one is like a little square symbol which I have no idea what it is for. I have been keeping it in the middle/blank one. I have been unable to find anything in the owners manuals that are available. I did not ask the dealer as I did not want to appear stupid or possibly indicate using the wrong setting. Does anybody know anything about the different settings on the turn signal stalk? |

If it's a standard Yamaha smart stick you should leave it in the bottom position. The symbol on mine is round.

On mine the first click up is day time running lights, it automatically turn off when the key turned off. So, off or first click is off when the key off. The third click up on mine is lights on and the key turned off font shut them off. If you left the light on wouldn't you're seen that the last time you used it? Has your daughter used the cart and left the lights on? Take the battery out have it checked autozone use to do it for free. They will charge it and load test it. The battery might have dead cell.
The owner's manual not going to say anything about it cause was probably added on and the standard on/off switch deleted? |
