I think the little dogs get walked with coats on, where they normally walk, but maybe not as far or for as long. At least that's what I've seen in winters up north, and down here too.

Our big dog can only be walked after dark down here because he gets too hot. If it's too cold, that means we can walk during the day, and I am a happy camper. I did bring my ear muffs down from MI, though, and have used them some nights. My ears aren't as hairy as his are.

cfrance - u r 2 funny! I had to ask the ? 'cause for all of sun and mon, none of the usual dogs and their walkers were out strolling the block in the cold weather. today, with the warmer temps, I saw only a few. so it made me wonder where they have all been!

When you live here, you don't do winter and neither does the dog! That's when the back yard becomes good enough, or if the neighbor is gone you can use his!!!!!

Both of our big dogs and myself as well do much better walking in the "cooler" temps. So you'll see us out more when it's not hot - and unless the wind is blowing the temps really are managable.

You are kidding, I hope. What gives you the right to use someone else's property for your dog's waste?
