And how nice to hear that they have adoptable pets available from the Animal Shelter.

Does anyone know the proposed timing of the Atlas K9 Rec Center?

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is an amazing place. It began in the '70s. They used to have a TV show about dogs they've rescued and rehabilitated. And cats and birds, too.

Info from facebook admin. I didn't see the exact location listed in this thread. Forgive if this is a repeat. :

The canine recreation center is planned to be across the street from the yet-to-be-built Belle Glade Country Club - the 12th and final country club for The Villages.

We are in the process of reporting on the new center, so keep reading the Daily Sun for updates.

Here are some more indoor or outdoor signs at a vet's office:
  • OUTSIDE: LIVE NUDE DOGS - FREE LAP DANCES!
  • VETERINARIAN PARKING ONLY - VIOLATORS WILL BE CHECKED FOR WORMS!
  • IF YOU DON'T TALK TO YOUR CAT ABOUT CATNIP, WHO WILL?
  • PLEASE NEUTER YOUR PETS... AND WEIRD FRIENDS... AND RELATIVES.
  • DOGS HAVE OWNERS, CATS HAVE STAFF.
  • WE LIKE BIG MUTTS AND WE CANNOT LIE!
  • DON'T WORRY - PEE HAPPY!
  • UNSUPERVISED CHILDREN WILL BE GIVEN AN ESPRESSO AND A FREE PUPPY!
  • CAT PUNS FREAK ME OUT... SERIOUSLY, I'M NOT KITTEN.
  • DRACULA HAS WHAT KIND OF DOG? A BLOODHOUND OF COURSE!

Does anyone know the location of the (to be built) Belle Glade Country Club?

Barefoot,

In answer to your question. I found this listed on-line. "Coming Soon Belle Glade Country Club, at the east end of Hillsborough Trail, off Morse Blvd., south of CR 466A, about half way to CR 44, The Villages, FL."

Here is a map that shows (on the right side) the location of BGCC along with the layout of the golf course. Click the map to open the full sized picture. You should then be able to use <ctrl> + to enlarge the picture if you want!

Thanks GeoGeo and Skyguy. That's a good map.
I had no idea Lake Deaton was such a huge lake.
The new Canine Center will be a wonderful addition for those people living South of CR 466A.
