Default HS/SPCA of Sumter Partnering with The Villages Petco for In-Store Cat Adoptions

The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County is pleased to announce that they have recently become a Petco Adoption Partner housing many of the rescue's adoptable cats in Petco's in-store cat adoption center. HS/SPCA Volunteer Adoption liaison with Petco, Gloria Litman, noted that "we're confident interested cat adopters will surely meet their new best friend at the Villages area store. We have an abundance of socialized, healthy and beautiful cats which are eager to become part of a forever family." She added that "our shelter will continue to house many adoptable cats at our main Lake Panasoffkee facility, but this added exposure at Petco will make it a wonderful opportunity to showcase and save even more deserving lives."

Cats from the HS/SPCA will be available for a $50 adoption fee which will include their spaying or neutering, vaccinations (including Rabies), a Leukemia Combo test, de-worming, a flea treatment, a microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance. The Petco Villages store is located at 600 Us Hwy 441 and is open Mondays through Saturdays 9am-9pm and Sundays 10am-7pm. The HS/SPCA will have adoption applications, cat bios and general information available at Petco, where the healthy pets go.

The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County, Inc. (HS/SPCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-based organization helping all animals in need throughout Sumter County, Florida. Donations directly help to cover the cost of saving, treating, and caring for neglected, abused and abandoned animals. To find out more about the HS/SPCA, visit hsspca.org 352-793-9117, visit them on Facebook or at their shelter located at 994 CR 529A, in Lake Panasoffkee Mon.-Sat.

This guy has been with us since last July and we found him at Petco and they carefully vetted us. Good fit. The love is mutual. Thank you volunteers.

Nice to hear Graciegirl. We got Beau or pooch at Pet Smart just a mile or so South from Max's Pet Connection. http://www.maxspetconnection.com/

I still go to Pet Co on occasion.
