Default "Cash is King" Theme Set for the 4th Annual Golf Ball Drop

The 4th Annual Golf Ball Drop will return on Saturday, October 22nd from 11am-2pm with an exciting "Cash is King" theme offering three top cash prizes of $1000, $750 and $500. Co-sponsor ReMax Premier Realty will team up again with event host George Nahas Chevrolet to help support the important work of the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County. Tickets for the chance to win any of the three grand prizes are available at local businesses listed below and at the day of the event. Weather permitting, tethered hot air balloon rides will be offered by ReMax from 9-11am for a donation to the HS/SPCA. A live auction will be conducted by Blessed & Grateful Auctions offering fantastic prizes such as admission to Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, Victory Casino Cruises and Ideal Image. Chance auction items will feature many gift certificates and baskets to be amongst the many great contributions from local businesses.

In addition to the numbered golf balls dropping at approximately noon, many local vendors, a caricaturist, a live WVLG radio feed, tasty foods, adoptable animals, music and Sheriff's K9 demos will all be present to round out the day's goal to raise $15,000. Proceeds will fund programs of the HS/SPCA which help reduce animal homelessness, neglect, hunger and pet overpopulation within Sumter County.

Tickets will also be available on Tuesday, October 11th at the HS/SPCA's table at Lake Sumter Landing from 5-9pm and on Saturday, October 15th at the "Blessing of the Animals" at HOPE Lutheran Church on CR 466. Tickets are only a $5 donation each or 5 for $20 and are available at:

•George Nahas Chevrolet at 4135 E. SR 44 in Wildwood (352-748-1122),
