Default LOST KITTY - NOW FOUND/ Fernandina area

We can't find our kitty Nikki. She is an indoor cat and we have no idea how she got out of the house (she never ventures out). Nikki is long haired, white with brown and black mixed in. She is also shy and will probably run if you try to catch her. If you see her, please call us!

We live on Brassie Terrace, near Anna Maria and Pinellas

Trish - I feel you pain - once thought our kitty was missing and find him hiding behind a bar in our basement. He was scared and took refuge there. Hoping you find your kitty soon.

Trish, Just a suggestion, have you gone outside of your house, walked around and gently called her name, maybe carrying a can of cat food, tuna or treats? Keeping you and your kitty in my thoughts...

We saw a cat near Colony Tunnel about 7:00 pm tonight that from a distance fit the description. That is quite a way from Anna Marie but......

Trish, so sorry for you. That is so scary, I hate when that happens. Is she afraid of thunder?? The last couple of storms really upset my older dog and I literally couldn't find him for awhile and when I did he was deep back in my closet hiding under the lower rack of clothes. I could not see him at all and he was so terrified, he wouldn't even answer my calling him.

I do hope you find your baby, its very frightening to not have them with us safe and secure. Good luck.

So sorry. Once we thought our kitty got out and all the time she was hiding inside the house. I truly hope this is the case. Please let us know if you find here. I feel your sadness I would be the same way if my babies got out of the house.

Totally agree that kitties can and do hide where nobody can find them inside the house. Last hidden kitty at my place was 16 hours with me thinking she was lost and gone, then she showed up inside when she got hungry.
That said, Trish, I can help you look for her Monday...let us all know if she is still MIA.

YAAAAAAAAY!! KITTY FOUND!!! She was hiding somewhere and just appeared. My daughter is here with her new baby and maybe Nikki is confused by everything going on. Thank you soooo much for all of the concern you have all shown. Just one more reason to love living here!

So very glad she became brave enough to come out of her hidey hole. Nothing like a baby to disrupt a kitty (my cats hid for three days when my grandson arrived) -- they'd only come out and eat or use the box when he was not in the house. Don't think they liked new baby smells (or sounds).

Oh thank goodness you found her. It can be so difficult when a loved pet is missing and cats can be the trickiest of all. It would be very hard for our 100 lb dog to hide but I'm thinking if he tried hard enough he probably could. So happy for you and I'm sure she was confused but all the excitement going on.

Me too! Trish I am glad that your kitty is once again with you. About 8 years ago when my sister from Cincinnati was visiting with her daughter who was about 3 at the time, my niece, Skyler, had not been around cats very often and she was fascinated with my former cat Magic. She would chase Magic around my townhouse. I guess Magic got tired of the chase and hid somewhere -- and he was not a hider. After not seeing him for a few hours, I was convinced he had gotten outside by accident. I walked around my townhouse calling his name. The neighbors probably thought I was crazy. I went back into the house, and called my father, and I was crying that Magic had run away. When I was on the phone with my father, out walks Magic into the living room. Relief! From what I understand, many cats don't like changes in their routines/their households.

Yes! Happy that Nikki is safe, you can relax, and you have a new baby!
