I will be driving myself and my cat from Fairfax VA in late September or early October. Too far for you to drive? Most hotel on the way take pets.

My friend needs to have the pets there sooner. Won't consider air transport nor traveling by car with her. There is such a service but it's 1500 dollars and scheduling is not specific as they make multiple stops from state to state transporting not only privately but fir rescues.

There is absolutely no way that I would allow anybody except myself to transport my pets here. The only exception is if it was an airline that I was flying on. But in today's world I wouldn't take the risk with the airlines either. I would rather pay a friend/relative to travel with me in a car to help with the driving if that's what I needed to be able to get here with my pets.

She has mobility issues so airline pickup and driving are out of the question. There are professionals who do this. Just trying to find one that doesn't originate in Texas and go all over with stops. Down the 95 corridor would be ideal

This lady obviously has a problem and she is lucky to have you helping her out.

I looked up several companies who perform this service as a business.
Please understand I know nothing about any of them.
I am simply passing on the information to you so you can read about them and make an educated decision for her.
Please be sure to read about any scams on a couple of these sites.

I hope this information is helpful to you and that something will work out for this lady and her three "kids!"

If I was younger, $1500 isn't bad for a couple of days work. She doesn't know any younger people wanting to make extra money? They could rent cargo van and don't worry about using their own vehicle. Down and back about 4 days work all together.

We moved from Bel Air, MD to TV in 2011 and Hampden Movers in Abingdon, MD (Harford County) moved our whole household goods for $2700. That was in a United Van Lines Tractor Trailer just like this and it was only 3 familes on that load.

The Villages Florida

Give Hampden a call and they might have a driver who is idle, or could pick up a small load going back. Tell them the situation and maybe they might have some answers. They're in Abingdon just off I-95. They have all sizes of vehicles, vans, box trucks, tractors. Phone 410-235-0600
