Foster homes are desperately needed. Dogs are having to be turned away because there isn't enough homes to place them in.

Maybe you don't want a dog for the rest of your life. Maybe you would like to have one on a temporary basis. Maybe you want to do good and help an animal in need. Maybe you want to try some dogs before you find the one that fits your family.

If you don't want to foster a certain type of dachshund such as one with medical needs, you can list the traits you do not want to foster.

Dachshunds are great dogs. They are low shedders, funny, and loving. If you want to get noticed, go into PetSmart with a dachshund. Everyone has owned a dachshund or knows someone who has. You'll hear some wonderful stories.
