Lady Lake Dog Park. Very small, lots of rules and not open for very long during the day. Would work for a small dog but did not work wee with our big dog.

Closed in the afternoons. And I hear it isn't very clean, but haven't been there.

We visited it last week while in town purchasing a lot in the village of St. Charles. Woo Hoo!!!
![]() It is definitely a small dog park which is run by members who join for a $40 a year fee. The hours are either 7am-noon or 8am-noon. Short, but if you plan that time slot into your schedule it would be doable. There are two sections to separate the large and small dogs. Members pick up after their own dogs (clean-up bags are provided and included in the annual fee). There is a covered area for members which provide shelter from the rain and sun as well as several shade trees in the park. People were sitting in chairs, I'm not sure if they are there permanently or if people bring their own. As far as cleanliness, it seemed very clean while we were there. We are still not sure which park we will join, but it is nice that there are options. |

This is a great price if you are close to this dog park. I am wondering though how big the Lady Lake Dog Park is? It looked quite small when I drove up to it a few years ago and never went back because of the 10 acres or so offered by the Doggie Doo Run Run. |

Oh believe me it is WAY smaller than DDRR, but it's still a place to let your dog run around freely.
Also, the members seemed to be chatting it up pretty big which made it seem to be social for both the humans and the hounds. Yes, the DDRR patrons appeared to be visiting with each other as well it's just a lot more comfy at the smaller park. |

I am a huge fan of Doggie Doo Run Run on CR 101, and go there every day. I see Tal there a lot.
There are THREE large fenced areas, and the staff at DDRR pick up the poop! It is a very clean and well run place. Doggie Doo Run Run ... ![]()

Many of the regulars at the DDRR have had and still have very interesting lives and tell very entertaining stories like one in which a dog got his paw stuck in a wedding cake. The dog seemed more upset about this mishap than the wedding cake baker. |

Part of what attracted me to TV were the incredibly friendly people who are generous with expounding on their life's experiences. We still haven't decided which park we will join. One of the patrons at DDRR informed us she and her husband take the opportunity to walk the circumference of the large dog section while their dogs are running freely. She said one lap is about equal to a mile. If you wanted to walk for exercise and reach a mile at the LLDP you'd probably have to circle it 20 times! |

I find DDRR a perfect place for me and the dogs to get the exercise we all need. Because it is so huge we all walk at a pretty good pace for about an hour. The dogs love it and so do I. When I feel that enough endorphines have been released, we all go home feeling much better physically and mentally.

Many people use the fenced back area for exercise while their dogs run free and play with each other. The owner told me it is three laps to a mile. I take my boys to DDRR every single day. People there are just great. You can socialize or walk. I find it so relaxing to walk the field and look at horses on the neighboring farms. Or sit in the hanging swings and watch the dogs play.

Well now Barefoot I never even saw the swings. I'm gonna look for them when we get back.
I will wear my pedometer for at least one full circumference of the large dog area to check the distance. It seems to be fairly accurate. I'm always happy when I reach my 10,000 steps for the day! |

I'll look forward to hearing the results of your pedometer. I had exactly the same idea but didn't get around to it. Please let me know.
