Absolutely.

“Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.”
― Mark Twain

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.”
― Milan Kundera

No way, our princess wears a raincoat for those rainy days and a turtleneck sweater when it's too cold. No one cares what I wear because I'm just a personal assistant..

Funny, but I don't see hide nor hair of any of the regular dog walkers going by my house when it's raining. Maybe they don't want to bother putting their rubber doggie boots on and off, or diapers so they don't have to pickup on wet grass!

Up north, not so much down here. We have a cavalier, and he HATES going out it the rain. He just will not venture out. Wondering what he will do soon, now that severe weather has us running for cover tonight.

It's been said that if aliens from outer space were observing us and saw people walking their dogs .......WHO do you think they would think is the master.
The one walking in front, squatting and leaving a pile, or the one walking behind picking it up??????

I used to think man was the superior of the species with all others being lesser. I have come to realize that although we may have a bigger brain, we are so riddled with nasty things, that I think other species are not lesser, just different. Each species has its pros and cons...other than the love bugs...What a dog lacks in comparative brain power (although I think mine might be smarter than me sometimes ), he makes up in being a joyful creature never bitching and moaning, never holding a grudge, always making others feel special and asking for little. Far better than most people I know present company included.

I would need a much bigger umbrella to keep my present pooch out of the rain as he wanders ahead even with a short leash. Rain does not seem to bother him all that much as long as I have a towel to wipe him off after he is done.
