We are new to TV and have been taking our dog to Mulberry Dog Park. He got dysentery ($150 vet bill later, he's ok now) and I am trying to figure out what he ate or got into. It occurred to me the water source there might be for irrigating the golf course, and if so maybe that might be the problem.
Anybody else have this problem, or know if the dog parks have really potable water or not? I have seen several male dogs lift their legs on the water buckets at Mulberry, so it may be that that was the source of the problem. Dunno. |

Been to Mayberry dog park a few times and never had a problem. I usually dump and refill the bucket so my dog will drink fresher and cooler water. The buckets should be metal and not plastic.

I am pretty sure that the water they use at the Villages dog park is suitable for drinking for dogs. My pooch goes to the Paradise Lake Dog Park maybe once a week as did my previous dog Sport. They never had any problems. Sport had been going there for seven years or so. Beau now for about three.
Sport had been to Mulberry as well as the one on Bonita as well. |

I would not be taking my dog to a dog park right now before having him vaccinated. Dog flu has arrived in Florida.
