Default Doggie Doo Run Run Back Field.

I have been asked this every once in a while as I am walking around the 5.07 acre back field of Doggie Doo Run Run. How far is it around? Well the Sumter County Property Appraiser site allows you to measure the feet around a portion of land using a click and release feature. It is not precise and may add or subtract a certain number of feet due to just how good your skills are. Anyway, I got 1996.15 feet for the second result, the first was around 2000.45 ft. The site also gave 0.38 of a mile for the perimeter of the back field. So, three times around is about 1.14 of a mile. This is from the second run where it looked like I was closer within the lines of the fences with the red string used in the measuring feature of the Sumter County Property Appraiser.

The Doggie Doo Run Run private dog park is near the corner of CR 101 and CR104 by the cell tower about a mile north of Southern Trace Shopping Center.

They are not open Thanksgiving to have fun with their family and also closed on religious holidays. Just three days a year though. Happy Thanksgiving!

I am the guy sometimes carrying a chihuahua/terrier around the back field as it is good exercise. Actually, Beau sometimes guards the gate which is not a good idea when he decides he does not like the look of some pooch six to ten times his size.

Doggie Doo Run Run is a private dog park, so there is a charge for using it.
$3 per visit, or $25 a month. We pay $30 a month for two dogs, what a bargain!
Doggie Doo Run Run is huge, with a small dog area and a large dog area, as well as the back field which is five acres.
It's a fabulous place, lots of shade, and very friendly dog people.

Thanks for adding that, Barefoot. I find the people at DDRR, both the employees/owners as well as the people for the most part friendly and there has been at least one marriage developed out of friendships there.

My husband is there pretty well every day with our Gordon and English Setter. He has a fit bit so he can tell you how many steps it is around the park, he walks to the very back a few times each time he is there.

Thanks. The Sumter County Appraiser site is probably the most accurate measurement we can get short of the actual legal deed and the like. The tax man is usually quite accurate as to property sizes.

I go to DDRR at widely different times so know a lot of people visiting that dog park. Beau also gets occasional visits to other dog parks in the Villages' area.

I asked Laura years ago how many times around the back field equal a mile, and she said three. Very unofficial.
But since she is one of the owners, I figured she'd know.

Looks like she is right! They would have the deed in some safe deposit box in a bank or what not. I got different answers from different people but not from Scott and Laura.

Do Canadians do Thanksgiving???

We had Canadian Thanksgiving on October 12.
We are so lucky to get to celebrate TWO Thanksgivings!

Default Looking for Owners of this business

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for contact information for Doggie Doo Run Run. It looks like they have a lot of regulars so I thought that maybe some of you may know how I can get in touch with Laura and Scott.

If you do not want to give out their info, please pass mine along and ask them to call me as soon as possible. My name is Laura Hope Richards. I work in Maitland, Florida. My office number is 407-539-0781. I know this sounds super random, but I am a real person (you can check the Florida Bar website to see that I am an attorney). Nothing bad, just need to see if they know the owners of a strip of land in Casselberry.

Thanks for any help.

Our home backs up to the farm next to the dog run. We can see the dogs running in the distance. Too bad our little dog is such a lazy bones! We have to drag her out to walk.

That's funny. I know a lady that lives over in that direction with a cute Shelty.

She used to work at giving massages too and would sometimes come to the house and help my Mom with her aches and pains. I found her in our living room one day and was quite surprised by her being there until I found out her door-to-door masseuse business. I would see her at Doggie Doo Run Run back in 2007 through maybe 2010.

And I started dog and cockatiel sitting for her. I have been doing various kind of pet sitting since what seems like forever.

Her first name is Dottie. I will not post the last name though for reasons of respecting privacy.

I could watch the dogs playing in the fields of Doggie Doo Run Run though when I dog and cockatiel sat.

Where is the click and release on the site?
Do you use google maps? Or is it a phone app you download?

Sumter County Property Appraiser

I use this after putting in a name or address. That should bring up a map which you can click and release.

Try putting in Smith, Robert and it will bring up a bunch of names with their property records. This will show up with GIS maps on far right. Click on one of these and then you can go to a ruler like button on the tool bar above the GIS map.
