HarborChase of The Villages Crossing, a local assisted living and memory care community, is hosting a Dog Days of Summer PET EXPO to benefit the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County on Monday, June 13 from 10 am to 1 pm. This special event will include complimentary refreshments, pet adoptions, demonstrations, samples, gifts and a variety of activities. HarborChase of The Villages Crossing is managed by Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA), a regional senior living development and management company based in Vero Beach, Fla.

"Our pet expo is the perfect event for all of our local pet-lovers," said Lindsay Willis, Executive Director at HarborChase of The Villages Crossing. "In addition to helping out a wonderful and worthy cause, attendees will have the opportunity to apply for an adoptable pet. We hope pet lovers from across Sumter County will join us for this pet-friendly event."

This special event will feature complimentary refreshments, prize drawings, pet adoptions and a variety of fun activities. Vendors at the event will provide demonstrations, information, samples and gifts. All pets are welcome to attend with their owners.

Featured vendors at the event include: Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Gift of Touch 4 Dogs, Judy's Photo Creations, Sit Stay No Bite Dog Training, Whole Earth Pet Supply, Blue Buffalo Pet Food, Central Florida Pet Crematory, Health Pet The Mobile Vet, Nicole's Mobile Pet Grooming and the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County. Live entertainment will be provided by MC Cheryl Dean Jones.

As an added bonus, anyone able to give a $15 minimum donation to the HS/SPCA during the event will receive a gourmet pizza kit to take home. The pizza kit includes individually-packaged cheese, dough, sauce, pepperoni and a HarborChase gift bag to carry it home. HarborChase will continue accepting donations of pet supplies until June 15.
