Default Feline petsitters

Any recommendations for an in-home petsitter for one mature cat and two new very active and mischievious 9 week old kittens? Expecting a new granddaughter around the Thanksgiving holidays and it will be last minute which day we need to leave.

Thanks,

Gail

I urge you to talk to your neighbors. As I've related here previously, I was severely taken to task by several of my immediate neighbors when I once used an "outside professional!" (That outsider wasn't all that professional, so I'll not identify him/her!)

There's bound to be someone who'll be happy to come take care of your kitties. And, I'll bet they'll bring in your newspaper and your mail, too!

Thanks, Gail Village of Pennecamp
Gail, there is a whole forum on TOTV devoted to pet issues and there are several threads there with information on pet sitters, names and telephone numbers. Or you can use the Search button on the blue bar above.

It is true that neighbours may volunteer or you may be lucky enough to find another person with cats and exchange pet sitting. But you may be like me ... I just could never let a neighbour clean out my litter box.

You said you're looking for in-home care. There are suggestions on the Pet Forum for people who live in, for people who will visit your home, and also people who take animals into their own home.

We have a TOTV member named Redwitch who is very knowledgeable on the subject. You might want to send her a private message.

Congratulations on your new granddaughter to be!

Default Pet sitting

Gwen is the best! 430-4388. She gives my dog lots of love and attention and she's honest and pleasant, and a non-smoker.

Hi there

I am visiting The Villages Nov to mid Dec.

I am a pet lover and very experienced.

If you need someone to come in daily for feedings/ litter changes etc.

We used Dee Parson (Redwitch on this forum) You can PM her on TOTV or call her at **************. She did a great job watching our cats for a week. We also used her to watch the house until we moved down full time and were very pleased with her service.

Thank you all for your replies .... my original post was a year ago and I have found a wonderful woman (and fellow TOTV'er) who has been sitting for my babies.
