The pain, in time, becomes less. The hole left in the heart never goes away.

Thankfully I have been super busy so that keeps my mind occupied. I would suggest to anyone who has a pet pass to keep crazy busy so your mind does not have time to think about it. It is the quiet moments that get the waterworks (tears) going.

I sure appreciate everyone reaching out. Your words mean so much to me. Thank you all.
Busy is good.

Plus... there are two sides to letting a forum of friends know about the passing of a pet. Each note of condolence both comforts and re-freshens the loss. It depends on the person's makeup as to which one it is.

I was unable to talk about our two pet losses on the forum at the time of their deaths. I envy people like you and Nucky who can see the comfort side of the condolences.

Soldier on, in whatever way helps.

Some what related..............I had to take my daughter's dog to the ER last weekend because of Sugar-free gum.

I was concerned when we caught him eating some, so I Google'd it.

Long Story, short: Orbit, Trident and Ice Breaker is deadly for dogs. Orbit Cubes are very nasty. The Vet required us to contact the Poison Center, get a case # and give the Vet instructions.

The dog is all good.

Just a heads-up for all.
