Default Having pity party, my 4 legged friend is gone

Tears, tears and more. Sweet little fur ball that gave us so much love. The heart ache is unbelievable. We have lots of dog stuff that we would like to give away, dog food Natures balance (duck and sweet potato), dog steps, leashes etc.

Sorry to hear that. We lost our last dog and found another one to adopt within five days.

It is a hard thing to lose a pet. My sympathies. I've lost several.

Dogs and cats by nature have a far shorter lifespan than we do, and dealing with their passing is a necessary thing for any pet owner. When it happens I try to form the mindset that instead of being sad that the pet is gone, to instead concentrate on the good memories; to remember all that was given to us. It helps.

I'm sorry about your loss. We lost our 18-year-old Winnie (fuzzy weiner dog) about a year and a half ago. It's like losing your shadow.

Sorry about your loss. Check with your veterinarian to see if they have a donation connection.

I'm sorry to hear about your darling furry friend. When we lost our first golden suddenly (cancer at age 13--he's my avatar), I went through the house and gave or threw everything away. Our second Golden, Crosby, came to us two months later, because I couldn't stop crying. I had to rebuy everything!

When Crosby passed at age 14 last January, I stashed his things in a box and put them out of my site. Sure enough, Lili a rescue came to us in March as a foster, and again as an adoption in September.

There will never be another pet to replace the six dogs and seven cats we've had, but I can't imagine life without a pet to love and care for.
Maybe there's another friend in your future who could use your things. If not, YOUR Humane Society of Sumter County sure could use the leashes and harnesses or collars. They also have a food bank where you can take pet food for those in need.
If you would like to go that route, I can pm you with my address. You can drop the items on my front porch, and I will make sure they get there.

Again, my condolences. I know the feeling of loss.

Animal lovers know what you are going through and we feel your pain. I have big photos of my past dogs, framed and on the wall, and I talk to them every day. It does help, but nothing takes away gthe pain.

We lost Zuni Princess our Polish Lowland Sheepdog at 14 several weeks ago. So hard to say good bye. The hardest but kindest decision that had to be made. We still have our four year old Havanese Ziggy Stardust who is getting so much attention he is exhausted.
