Yep, you never know !! Those birds are pretty big and could definitely do some harm to a cat !!

Default Outdoor Cats

I have an indoor outdoor cat in New England with Bobcats, Fisher Cats and Coyotes. She is 9 and going strong. I have a dog door which she uses to come and go. Take all the scary talk with a grain of salt. The issue of pets is one of my major concerns about moving to TV. We live in the country and both my dog and cat are not fenced in any way and yet stay close to home. I always suspect dogs and cats never let loose are the ones who run away. I can walk my dog downtown with no leash and he stays right by my side and has since he was a pup because he was trained that way from day one. I walk my dog and cat off leash together around the property and they love it. I fear a community such as TV will have overwhelming rules and regulations about what you can and cannot do. Are there any places I can walk my dog off leash except in fenced dog parks, which are always sort of disgusting, to be honest?

There are a million negatives to letting your cats out, invisible fence or not, and probably only one or two plusses.

Please make sure your kitties have identification collars on and are micro-chipped, if you MUST let them out. Even at the very least, they should be micro-chipped, should they happen to sneak out.

They aren't allowed to be out without a leash. That is the rule here.

No cat would ever be contained by an invisible fence.

Our cats LOVE the lanai.

All animals need to be on a leash no matter how well they are trained.

No.
This is a large city and we do have pet rules and regulations.
You will not be able to let your cat roam, and you will have to leash your dog at all times.

The exception would be if you purchase a Courtyard Villa in The Villages. A CYV has a fenced yard and you will be able to let your animals out in your own yard.
