"The Dog Park is located on Silver Lake Road just to the west of College Dr. by Lake Sumter Community College. The Park is free to the public, and is operated on the honor system. We do not have staff there to check vaccination records but all dogs must be wearing tags verifying current rabies vaccines. We count on dog park participants to assist the Parks Dept. in policing any activities that are against the rules of the park and so far this has worked out very well. Therefore, I would encourage you to make me aware of any issues or concerns you have about the park if you decide to visit with your four legged friend(s)."
