Default Looking for a rescue cat

I am looking to get another adult cat before I leave the Villages in May.
Where are the rescue shelters in the area?

There are many cats at the Marion County Humane Society in Ocala. Also, Petco and Petsmart usually have cats from other agencies. Petco is affiliated with Pet Lover's Rescue and Petsmart with Marion County Animal Control - if I am correct.

Lightbulb Please consider ....

PLEASE consider Sierra and Cheyenne. They are shown under this forum. They are two beautiful white cats, sisters. Their owner is apparently very ill and having financial difficulties. It would be so lovely if you could rescue these two beauties. Just scroll through the "All about pets" thread until you find the one listed as "Sierra and Cheyenne...". It is currently showing at the end of page one under "All about pets", but may be on page 2 by the time you see this. Their photo is there as well. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

They are so beautiful. If I didn't already have 2 cats I would take them in a minute. Please somebody adopt Sierra and Cheyenne.

Lake county animal shelter has cats of all ages, they are no kill. We got our kitten there last summer and they were great, professional and very caring of the animals. Wherever you go, one less cat will be homeless. Good luck in your search.

I have an acquaintance who took in her daughter's cat. Unfortunately, it does not get along with her cat. Allie is a very pretty girl with orange and white coloring, extremely friendly and LOVES humans and attention. If she doesn't find a loving home soon, she will have to sent to a shelter or, worse yet, be put down. So, if you can help, let me know.

I GUESS I could not risk the fact that she would not get along with my male cat who is 4 years old .
