Default Litter Robot

Does anyone with cats use this self cleaning litter box? If so, do you like it?

Yes, I had one that lasted 6 years, the computer board finally gave out. Bought another one and it works great.
It will take a few days for your cat to begin using but then they will do it routinely.
Watch Target for a sale.

Bogie, are you sure it's the Litter Robot you're referring to. To the best of my knowledge, this box is not offered in any retail store.

You can find it on retail but the site sells it for $300 and it pretty much is sold at that price.

Which Target did you purchase this at? I checked their site on line and it doesn't show up.

I've used one for my 2 cats for about 8 years now. I'm on my second one because I foolishly used the wrong litter. The result was a broken cord that pulls the rake. The best part was finding a company online that makes a table to put the "LitterMate" box on. The refuse dumps into a plastic bag (sold by same company) instead of the expensive plastic containers sold with the box. I saved the cardboard "frame" that came with the orignial bags I bought, and now use kitchen bags instead. The litter can stay in the bag for at least a week. No odor. My box is on the lanai in a corner surrounded by "safe" plants and is hardly noticeable.

abrac: I think you're referring to a different box. The LitterRobot can be viewed at www.litterrobot.com

It's an expensive box and doesn't require any special litter or bags. Plus it's too big to put on a stand.

Because it's such a unique box and expensive, I was wondering if anyone here used it for their cats.

Sorry I got the wrong litter box the first time. I did try the litter robot after my first LitterMate broke. I ended up sending it back because neither cat would use it. I even filled it with a special litter that was guaranteed to "attract" the cats.......didn't. The opening wasn't big enough for my two yr. old male 18 lb. cat. I guess if you train a cat early on it might work better. It does take up quite a bit of space and I couldn't find a place where it fit esthetically in my home. Great concept though.

Thanks; I'm on the fence but I don't think I'll order it based on your comment that your 18lb cat was too big for it. My Ben is 24 pounds and he certainly will be too big for it!
