Default Our Chloe--toy poodle

On Tuesday 4/30 we had to have our 16 year old toy poodle Chloe put to sleep--she was my companion and I miss her so much---Chloe loved to ride on the golf cart and greet people all over the Villages--I will be looking for a new companion soon--small female dog. If any one knows of a dog needing a home--please email me--sjohnsondoran@gmail.com

My heart goes out to you. I'm sure you were a wonderful Mom and Chloe was one the the lucky ones. There are tons of dogs who need to be rescued, please reach out to one of them.

It is very hard, but time does heal. Our Kirby was 16 years and 9 months when we went through it. She was a toy also. We now have her younger brother we call Mr. Buster. He turned 17 on the 15th of March this year. I am sorry for your pain and truly understand it. The one thing I hold on to is the knowledge that we loved her so much and gave her everything she ever wanted or needed. I hope you find what you are now looking for and soon. There are so many out there that deserve your kind of love.

Hugs Hugs Hugs...

SO sorry for you! Pets are our children and it's hard to say goodbye.

Go to The Rainbow Bridge and read the wonderful stories. They have a Monday night candle ceremony you can partake in that really helps!

It is so painful to lose a loved one. I'm so happy to hear that you will be giving another dog a happy home. I said goodbye to my Duffy one year ago yesterday and when I was cleaning yesterday I came across one of Duffy's canines that he lost shortly before we said goodbye. Coincidence? I don't think so he is still sending me unconditional love.

So sorry. I know how hard it is. It sounds like Chloe lived a long, happy life.

I am so very, very sorry for your loss. We lost our Aussie boy, 14, last April and then we had to put our female Aussie down yesterday morning at the age of 10, so I know exactly how you are feeling today and I grieve along with you. You will get signs from them now and then which let's you know they are still with you and I truly believe that. Guess all we need is time. If you are looking for a particular breed, search the internet for breed specific rescues. Good luck with your search and let us know how you do. Again, so sorry.

Default chloe

So sorry for your loss. We have two rescues (one from Katrina) and sometimes I wonder who rescued who. I have felt the pain you're feeling today, and it is just awful. But know that Chloe will always live in your heart. Here is a baby needing a new home:

I am so very sorry for your loss - I know how difficult that is. I parted with Missy 18 months ago and still miss her so much.
If you are interested in another poodle, please go to the Florida Poodle Rescue. I adopted my mini from them and also do home visits for them in The Villages for people who have applied to adopt. Just google for Florida Poodle Rescue - I can never remember the website address. PM me if you have any questions and I'll give you my phone number.

Default Sympathies as well

Please accept my sympathies as well. We lost Dakota (the black dog in my avatar) in Aug of 2012 at the age of 14. It is always hard, but the enjoyment our friends bring to us more than outweighs the sadness at the time of loss. When you are ready to adopt, you will know it. As another poster indicated, there are plenty of dogs looking for their forever homes. Good luck!
