We found 2 baby kittens in the bushes at our house. I don't know how old they are but they are very small. Their eyes are open, they can walk and eat. One is black and the other has a unique striped pattern. They are both very sweet and friendly, but we can't keep them. Please send me a message if you are interested in seeing them and giving one of both of them a home.

Does anyone have any advice on how to care for them until I can take them to a vet of shelter to find them a home? We have never had cats or kittens before and I don't know where to begin as they are so different than dogs. Any advice is appreciated. I don't even have a clue how young they are except they seem really little.

See if they will drink from a saucer of milk. If so, Petco or PetSmart has formula. Buy or borrow a tiny bit of kibble or a small can of wet food and try that too.
Get some kitty litter or shred newspaper and put it in a cardboard box that you line with a trash bag, and put them in a bathroom or laundry room for a few days. They will usually get the idea and litter train themselves. I hope you find a home or shelter for them. They are cuties! (We have a bird...) Good luck, and thank you for rescuing them. Otherwise they probably would have ended up feral.

![]() CFrance has made some good suggestions. I'd suggest canned cat food to start. Best of Luck to you in finding a wonderful home for these kittens.

From Wikipedia:
"A tabby is any domestic cat that has a coat featuring distinctive stripes, dots, lines or swirling patterns, usually together with a mark resembling an M on its forehead. Tabbies are sometimes erroneously assumed to be a cat breed.[1] In fact, the tabby pattern is found in many breeds, as well as among the general mixed-breed population. The tabby pattern is a naturally occurring feature that may be related to the coloration of the domestic cat's direct ancestor, the African Wildcat, which (along with the European Wildcat and Asiatic Wildcat) has a similar coloration." .

FYI, contrary to popular thinking, Milk is not good for cats. That is not to say that they don't like it, but it is not good for them. Something about difficulty in their digestion system. Petco does have a special "milk" for cats, but regular cow milk is not good for them. But so glad they found a home.
