Default Best Place for Grooming?

Hi, I'm new to the board and new to The Villages. I have a shih tzu and was just wondering where is the best place to take him for grooming. I would really appreciate your recommendations. Thank you.

When we were in Spanish Springs we saw some dogs coming out of The Village Groomer that were "show" groomed.

The Village Groomer 978 Bichara Boulevard
Lady Lake, FL 32159-7714

We went in and talked to the owner and liked what we heard. She gave us a card for one of her groomers to do our poodles the way we like. We aren't down there yet so I have had no experience with them yet, but maybe someone can give us some more information.

Smile Village Groomer

I've been using the Village Groomer since I moved to TV in 2000. My dogs never had a bad hair cut. They are the best - very kind and considerate.

I use Bone Crazy for my two bichon girls. They are located on 466A just past the light where the library is. They do a fantastic job!

There are also several good mobile groomers who will groom your dog in your driveway. Very convenient. However the good ones are booked months and months in advance!

What area do you live in? There is a Villages (free) Park in the Historical area East of 441, another in the north/west quadrant, and another south of CR 466 in Bonita.

There is a private dog park on CR 101, about 1 1/2 miles north of CR 466. It is called Doggie Doo Run Run and it is on the East side of CR 101. Go North between CVS and Southern Trace Plaza. The private dog park is fabulous, and costs $25 per month for one dog, and $30 for two dogs. It is huge, with areas for large and small dogs. And they pick up the poop!

I also suggest the village groomer... They have done my dogs for years!

I couldn't be more surprised, but PetSmart does a great job. And the grooming salon is behind an all-window wall so all activities are on full display. They are very friendly and my dog has never looked better. Go figure!
