You need to call Community Watch....they will get who ever is on call from District Property Management to come get the cat.

I don't know the number off hand but if you call 750-0000 and listen for the emergency number it will be for CW.

Oh my, I hope you can get some help very soon. Since I dont live there yet, I might not have the greatest suggestions that the villagers will. How about the sheriff's department there, or their fire department? Do they have an animal control department in the area? Altho I guess its not in "their job description" I am sure someone would be willing to help out a poor kitty that fell in the drain.
Yesterday, I saw an adorable story on the news of a teenie tiny puppy, and his four year old owner thought he needed a bath so he flushed him down the toilet! Luckily a plumber came to their aid and was able to get the puppy out of the drain. I sure hope you have a nice happy ending such as this.
I wish you the best of luck, I will be praying for the lil kitty.

District Poperty management is in charge of the sewers...in the latest edition of the Recreation News is the "Our Place" article about sewers etc....it states to call District Propert Management because they can help.

I read the article about that puppy too...how sad...but it survived, which amazed me!!

Just another reason why teenie tiny puppies should not have 4 year olds as owners.

Sorry, but I get extremely frustrated with parents that make the wrong choice of pets for their very young children!!!!

There are many stray cats in The Villages. I saw one jump right down a drain like it knew exactly where it was going! On another day, I heard mewing in a drain and tied a rope to a bag, put a piece of meat in it, and dropped it down hoping that I could pull kitty back up (neighbors got a good laugh out of that sight) but no luck. The strays are very afraid of people.
Why don't they have grates covering that huge drain hole???!!!!
