Default Puppy Cam

This has been on a lot of news programs over the last week, but in case you missed it and in case you happen to love puppies, below is a link to the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam.

Some history - back in 2008, a San Francisco couple set up a webcam so they could watch the first litter of puppies from their Shiba Inu (a Japanese breed), Kika, while they were at work. This litter was nicknamed "The A-Team" and consisted of six puppies. Somehow, a San Fran local news reporter picked up the webcam and put it on the news. It quickly went national, then international. By the time the pups went to their forever homes, over 25,000,000 (yes, million) people were watching the pups.

In January 2010, Kika produced her second litter, this time five pups (the B-Team). By the time they went to their forever homes, some 60,000,000 viewers had watched the puppy cam.

Two weeks ago, Kika produced the C-Team, her 3rd and final litter Although they are still confined to the welphing crate and quite pudgy, they are starting to get more active. The next six weeks will be very entertaining as they grow and play. Warning: having watched all eight weeks of the A & B Teams, and already addicted to the C-Team, I can guarantee this webcam is habit forming.

The cam goes off for the weekends, but is on Monday thru Friday, usually 9:30-ish AM until 2 or 3 AM. However, even while the cam is off, they stream previous videos of the pups. Enjoy!

So cute and cuddly. Who could watch that and not want a puppy?
Oh, I know, his name is Fumar!
