Puppy Training - Question
I have just gotten a new puppy and live in a courtyard villa with no grass, only stones, which were here prior to my moving in. Should I remove some of the stones and add grass or just train the dog to use the stones. Right now it is hit or miss. Has anyone ever put grass in a small box for their pet? Any advise would be appreciated.

My experience with our dogs who have been trained would never go on our CYV rocks. We always had to walk them somewhere other than the enclosed courtyard.

So the solution is to leave the odor in someone else's yard ?? Nice!

My puppies grew up on a xeroscaped yard! Didn't know any difference and do fine!

Dogs don’t like to pee on rocks because it splashes. Just create an environment where it doesn’t pee on itself.

Your dog will get use to it and guess what it’s much cleaner for you. Their paws are never dirty. I have taught all of my dogs to relieve themselves on gravel.
