Raising money for a rescue is hard work. Especially when you have a little dog who has to have lots of expensive medical care. We've got one of those right now. So read on....
FLDR usually has auctions every other month, but in between we have started doing "Buy It Now" offerings. You do NOT bid. The first person who wants a certain item, gets it. We will be having various dog-related items, plus sometimes jewelry and other items that are not pet-related. New items will be posted over many days. Our auction has just started posting a few items. I will post a link so you can see what has been posted so far (just started), but more things will be added when the auction lady has time. These are usually smaller items....no ramps or strollers or expensive items in the Buy It Nows. This is located on our Florida Dachshund Rescue Auctions page on Facebook. If you want to buy something, you have to join the group and then type Sold in the comments. Florida Dachshund Rescue Auctions Public Group | Facebook We are trying to raise funds for a beautiful little dog that cannot seem to catch a break. (See Pearl's photo below). She has had two previous surgeries and we thought everything was doing great. In fact, we were getting ready to take adoption applications for her. Then her knee jumped out of place and will not go back. She cannot walk and will require MORE expensive surgery. We had been working on raising funds for her previous surgery which was very expensive. Now we have this new surgery to raise money for, too. Please stop by our site often to see what our auction lady has added. Please keep in mind that she doesn't do it at a certain time, but fits it in whenever she has some free time. Florida Dachshund Rescue Auctions Public Group | Facebook Little Pearl has really drained our rescue financially. If anyone is not interested in the Buy It Now offerings, but would like to donate the cost of a cup of coffee toward her surgeries, you can do that on our website at http://fldr.org/donate/. It lists more than one way to donate. By the way, we are a 501(c)3 non-profit, so you can take it has a charitable deduction on your Federal income taxes if you itemize. Note: post surgery photo below is from her previous surgery. |
