I have a teeny tiny Morkie puppy that is just learning to enjoy playing with other dogs. I'm not an early morning person and so I seem to miss most of the dogs at the parks. What is the most common time to take your pet there?

Many people take their small dogs to the Brinson- Perry Park in the afternoon around 3pm.

At Doggie Doo Run Run, for instance, I usually take my golden retriever up around 2:00 to swim in the little pool. I like the quiet, and just a few dogs there. I have noticed that in the small-dog part of the park, there are just a few dogs at this time. This may be a good time to take your Morkie, as he/she will have fewer dogs to contend with as he learns to socialize.

I must say that in the very hot weather, being out in the hot sun may not be so good. (We are usually under the cover of the awning at the doggie pool in DDRR.) But after 10 or 11 and before 5 are slow times at this particular park.

Usually depends on the season, right now, after 6p, but in the winter and spring, it more like 4p or so. We go to Mulberry almost every day and love all the dogs there we want to play and run around.

I go in the afternoon. Not a morning person either. You'll run into some folks around 4 pm probably.

Thank you everyone. Sounds like we can meet some new friends in the afternoons. CFrance, hopefully we will run into you some time.

I hope so. Just got the hard splint taken off of our guy's leg; now in a soft bandage for two weeks, then leash walks and maybe dog pool at DDRR.
