Default small dog

Our beloved Bichon passed away after 17 and half wonderful years with us about two months ago, the time for mourning has passed and its time for us to find a new dog. Looking for a small bichon type, can mixed breed. If anyone knows of one available or someone who can no longer care for theirs, let us know. jross347@hotmail.com

We lost ours also. I am not sure I can go thru that again. Please come back on after you find a new one to fill the hole they leave when they pass and give us an update on what you find. Even more, I am interested in how it helps ease the pain of the earlier loss. Right now, we are in a holding pattern.

When a dog is loved for a long time, and passes, it is like losing a member of your family. The pain is overwhelming. Dogs offer unconditional love and acceptance and ease the raw places in our lives. When the world is tough, and people don't always agree and if we are sensitive and caring people, a dog is very important. Adding a new dog is like having a new baby; wonderful and a lot of hard work. I hope you will add one to fill the hole, Ruger.

Thanks for understanding. We are both having a hard time adjusting to the horrible blank spots in our day to day activities. For so many years taking him out in the morning, thru the day, before bed time. Feeding, playing, grooming and 100 etc's. Yes they are a choir, but when you love them, it's done without a thought.

I have seen a Bichon like dog there but it was quite a bit older than the age we wanted.

Bratpack Rescue of Florida is a bichon and small dog rescue group. Try them. I hope you will get another dog. It's what your heart needs after being broken with the loss of your dog. We lost two little poodles and after a few months we couldn't stand the emptiness and now have two more little guys filling our days were smiles.
