Default Someone Asked Why Do You Post and Ask Us To Help

Someone asked why our rescue is always entering a contest and needs people to vote or having an auction or raffling a quilt or some other fundraising thing. Look at the three faces below. These are just three of Florida Dachshund Rescue's "forever" fosters. That means that they will not be adopted out, but will remain with the rescue for the rest of their lives. They may not be adoptable because of age or health. We pay for their medical care, medications, expensive prescription dog foods, etc. for the rest of their lives. This is just three of the reasons why.

(And no the white dog is not available for adoption. Disregard the vest he is wearing.)

No one ever needs to ask why any rescue uses raffles, contests or any type of fundraising for their organization.

Since funds ($$$) don't drop out of the sky, it's very obvious all rescue groups need to do everything they can so they can maintain the flow of money to support the needs of their rescued pets.

Those are some cute dogs. I have known a dachshund named Petie since 2006 and many of these dogs remind me of him.

Because that is what fundraising is all about....the pets that need that extra help, the people who help the pets. You continue with what you are doing GeoGeo!
