Default What dog seat do you use for your golf cart?

We plan to be moving to the villages in the next 3-6 months. We have a Yorkie approximately 14 lbs and we were wondering what people use as doggie golf cart seats? Thank you in advance!

Do you plan on getting a 4 or 2 seater golf cart?

Harness and a dog seatbelt.

Be sure it's tight enough they can't slide out the side inn a turn.

I have seen carts with a fold down tray that may be suitable for a dog carrier. As i recall this becomes a rear seat when folded up. The other thing you need to think about is whether you will be using the cart for golfing, and/or 4 people. I have some friends that were looking for something similar for their dog. We are looking at a custom slide in panel that would go into the foot are on the passenger side with the dog in a carrier on the floor. This would be easily removeable for a passenger in the cart.

Same here...

My wife is going to make a quilted basket liner for our dog to sit in, right behind our seats. Still, she'll wear a harness and a leash strapped to the cart frame...

She loves going for rides... If we let her into the garage, she hops right up into the golf cart...

Hi DeeJ- We use dogs seats we found on Amazon for our dogs. We use them in the car and on our golf cart. They fasten in using seat belts. Our cart doesn't have seat belts so I run a black strap thru them where the seatbelts would go and connect them to the holes where the seat belt would mount (there are holes on our EZGO Limo where you bolt in the seatbelts). This works great! Here is a pic and a link to the ones we have purchased. I hope this helps. Have a good week.

Edit: It won't let me post a link but search for "K&H Pet Product Bucket Booster Pet Seat" on Amazon. It's a great product. Edit: also wont let me post a pic I guess (:

We used one of those for our 21 lb pooch but just use a harness and a leash for our smaller dog who likes to be on laps.

I use the older dog seat in the car as it would be dangerous to have the dog my lap so much as in the car. I take it rather easy in the golf cart and am often passed by just about anything in the golf cart path going in the same direction.

Our dog sits between us usually with her head on my leg. We know have 2 dogs so not sure how we will handle it. Maybe a crate on the back of the cart for the 2 of them.

I thought I would be getting email notifications of replies but my profile apparently not setup that way; thank you all very much for your replies. I really appreciate the info!

Many typical Villagers use their laps behind the steering wheel!
