Busty is now 18 years old, blind and deaf. Do to this thread, we also contacted this Dr. She came to our house, examined Buster and said his is otherwise still quite strong. We will take it day by day, but are very thankful to be on Angels patient roster. She is a true Saint.

It is a tough thing to come to grips as our beloved pets age. I would have given the world for just one more day with my Midnight, but I had to be strong and let go. He gave me the sign that night.

Dr. Angel Smith and her vet tech Dana are a great find to all of us with senior pets. I am pleased she examined your Busty and that she will be there for you when it is time to let go...in the peace and comfort of your home.

On another note, I am a softie for seniors, so I'm currently fostering a 6 yr old Westie named "Bonnie" that is totally blind due to SARDS syndrome. Her owner passed away and she ended up at animal control in Melbourne, FL. When her time was up, PPR in Orlando rescued her and contacted me to foster. Although totally blind, she gets around my CYV well and I hope to foster her until she finds a "Fur-Ever" home.
