Default Where to board our Yorkies for the cruise

Hi:

We rented a home in The Villages for November and have booked a 7 day cruise from Tampa as a followup to our stay. During the cruise we need to a place to board our two Yorkies. Cruise ship arrives back in Tampa port at 7am on Saturday, 6 December. We expect to take an early departure from the ship, leave the port, pick up our babies from the kennel and then immediately heading north back to Pennsylvania. Understand that there are a number of Villagers that have experience with boarding facilities while they have been on similar cruises. Any recommendations???

I highly recommend Bedtime Tails in Summerfield. Kathy and her staff are wonderful and I know she would be happy to show you around.

You can board them with me. Our dogs passed away a few years ago and I really miss having pets. I love all dogs but small lap dogs are my favorite. I love Yorkies.

I would take great care of your dogs and they will be spoiled. When my friends/family would go on vacations they would bring the dog to my home and I enjoyed having them. If I had two Yorkies running around the house I would be in dog heaven.

Why not leave them with a pet sitter or have a sitter stay in your home? That way you can depart /arrive home at any hour and get your babies. My Yorkie prefers to stay in my villa with a sitter as compared with a kennel as he is frightened by all the barking.

I believe the poster is saying that their cruise is immediately after their rental here in TV's is over. Hence, there would not be a home for the pet sitter to stay in.

OK miised that - then the Yorkies could stay in the sitters home / villa Joan can arrange that too as there are nine ladies in the group. Problem solved!
