Default EZGO Battery/Charger Problems

What would it cost to convert a EZGO RXV with 4 12 volt batteries to 8 6Volt batteries? Would this be a smart thing to do? It seems that EZGO still has a problem with their 12 volt Trojans and their chargers. I really want to buy a used 2011 EZGO, but am concerned about the battery/charger issues. Owner stated that when he recently took the cart back to the dealer because of low millage they replaced one battery and the charger. Help! Really don't know what to do. Would buy any cart that has had battery and or charger problems?

The conversion is successful but must include a 48 V - 12 V reducer for accessory circuits
The cost is approx $1,350 including 6 Trojan T 890 batteries.
