Default Rear wheel bearing seal? also batteries?

My 2010 Star Cart was diagnosed (at annual mtc check) with a leaking rear wheel bearing seal. Is this something that must be fixed pronto in order to avoid serious consequences? What would be a reasonable charge to replace a bearing seal?
Next question: My batteries starting to show noticeable decrease in range. Have there been any recent advances in battery technology? What are the best batteries (long-range, long-lasting) currently available for the 8-6v configuration?

Default

The rear axel seal s important to get repaired it will propertypanorama.com/instaview/mfr/G4824289effect spreading grease on the bake shoes.
We have the parts in stock for repair.
We also carry the new Trojan T 160 Ranger Batteries
That will increase range or distance by 35%, that amounts to going the distance with 6 batteries as if the cart had 8 batteries. Our customers that we have installed love the difference.

Best regards.
