Default Stripped Threads on Oil Pan

Have a 2010 Yamaha Gas with stripped threads on Oil Pan where oil drips. The drain plug is fine. Automotive store sells self-threading tapered drain plug; but not in my size. The internet has what is called "Piggy Back Self-Threading Drain Plugs." Would it be OK to try one of these? Which one? Any other suggestions?
