Default Strater battery life

11 gas Yamaha (not EFI) depressing gas pedal sometimes get nothing, if hold pedal down after a second or so will engage. Sounds like it is not getting enough juice. Cleaned bat terminals no difference, battery reads 12.5v when not running. How long do the start batteries last, Year round average use.

The true reading of a battery is best with a load tester in conjunction with a volt meter.
If a battery is failing, under load the voltage drops considerably.
2-3 years on starting batteries.

3 years is good. 4 years is great. Will work until it doesn't, usually at a bad place.

Default yamaha

I have been told that there were some switches that would rust up on the start (gas) peddle & need to be replaced or cleaned. Try asking at the golf cart store, Good Luck
