I hear charge it whenever you can, even for a short time, as long as you let it charge fully every night.
Some even have a solar charger charging even as it's being driven. Others say leave it be and don't do "little part way charges" just the long full charge overnight. Unless you drive the batteries hard and they won't make it through the day without a partial charge. Some say NEVER go past 30% of max, others 40%, others 50%, some say anything but full discharge won't matter too much. Different stories at different places. Does it even make a difference in the real world? You get 5 years MAX out of a battery anyway, even if you baby it using only 2-3% a day? What's the real scoop on getting the best VALUE out of batteries. |

The best practice is to charge when ever you can short or long trips your charger will shut down automaticly when complete.
Just think of you automobile, as soon as you turn it on the alternator is caring for the battery constantly keeping it in full charge all the time. Regaards, Frank |
