Default A.E.D.'s

Our neighborhood is planning to purchase several A.E.D.'s to be mounted on the residents' house and also to have several residents trained in how to use them if needed. The residents will be contributing the money for the purchase of the A.E.D.'s. What is the liability of being trained and administering help to a person in cardiac arrest if something would go wrong? Also would there be liability to the residents that purchased the A.E.D.'s ?

I have researched the AED liability issue for business owner clients of mine in the past. I have never researched the issue as it relates to a group of neighbors wanting to place them on their homes. The laws relating to AEDs and Good Samaritans that use AEDs have evolved over the past decade. I would be happy to briefly discus the liability issue with you. Please give me a call at my office (352) 365-2262.
