Is it true that if you rent your home with a golf cart you are liable for the renter using the cart? I understand there is no insurance you can buy that gets around this. What can you do to prevent the liability? Will anyone answer this?

Yes, in the event you rent your home to a third party and allow them to use your golf cart, you could have personal liability for any resulting damage caused by your renter while using the golf cart. You will need to check your homeowner’s insurance policy to see whether the golf cart is covered under your existing policy. If not, contact your insurance agent to see if they will cover the use of your golf cart by renters, and if so, what steps need to be taken to cover the cart.
