I got a speeding ticket a few years back on the way to work. I felt it was unfair because a pine tree was blocking the speed sign that showed the speed had dropped 20 miles per hour. I called my brother who was an out of state judge. He asked whether I was speeding. Yes. He said you could get off if the judge is in a good mood, not over worked, and feels generous. But if you fight it, his court schedule is overflowing and thinks a guilty person is making his day longer fighting a ticket when they admit they are guilty…he could throw the book at me and make it worse for wasting the courts time…I paid the ticket! I know how overworked my brother was!

Seems that this is a traffic violation, and the Police Officer was correct and just in doing there job before there was an accident and someone getting hurt!

Guilty as ticketed. You cannot make a U turn at an intersection on a RED light. From your point of view all of us should just proceed through an intersection during a RED light if we see no oncoming traffic from any direction. Now that sounds like a lawlessness mentality.

Now, it’ll cost you more by hiring an attorney and going to court. But maybe you are so proud that you will try that. Good luck.
