The last time the Chrysler was sick I started at Sumter Tire. Then went to Kracken Automotive. Near Sparr Lumber. One stall. Need appointment. Half of Sumter price.

Daniel's in Leesburg. Straight shooters that alot of the locals use. They have been refreshingly honest. They are located on Sunnyside behind the Blue Crab fish market. Off 441 and 44

Call Mike Raysin (Michael’s Auto Repair) 352 – 365 – 2955. Address: 307 N. Villa Avenue, Fruitland Park. His shop is just west of 441, on the south side of 466A. I have used Mike for over 10 years. He is excellent. Also, he is reasonably priced and very honest. Over the years, I have sent many Villagers and others there—and always receive very positive feedback.

Default Auto Mechanic

I have been using Sumter Tire and Auto on Rt. 301 in Wildwood for 20 years and have never had a problem...They are honest and their prices are reasonable. They are also a family business.

Default Tires Plus in Leesburg

Tires Plus in Leesburg (across from Aldi on 441).
Called and got a quote to replace all the TPMS sensors in my wheels, bringing OEM parts with me. Agreed to do it, quoted reasonable price, with the caveat that they most likely would not be able to program them to the car's control unit (needs a dealer-only tool).
OK, so I'll get the dealer to only do the programming instead of the entire job, should save hundreds.
The mechanic that normally does the tire changing and TPMS stuff tried, and no success - like we said.
When I checked-out, the very experienced mechanic at the desk said; 'let me give it a try."
I watched him sweat for over 30 minutes, several times I said it's OK, I expected to have to take it to the dealer.
Voila. He did it, then refused to take any more than the original quote. This is beyond honestly.

While in the waiting room I talked to a guy that drove there from Eustis because he said they do the best alignments in the county and beyond. So, a few months later, I took wifey's car there for alignment. Completely satisfied !

Have you ever compared their price to other shops? Recently, they wanted $2,400 for a new air conditioning compressor. It didn't sound right to me, so I called 3 other auto shops. They were all at least $900 less than Sumter Tire.

Sumter is where I've gone for tires and an oil change. Only other work I had done was in Gainsville when I had to replace a starter up there last year and Billy's did a good job.

I heard that Wildwood Tire was good too; both in the same area off 301.
