Default Baseball Road Trip

My wife and I are moving to TV in July. Wondering if any of the recreation centers have bus trips to the Tampa Rays baseball games.

AAA organizes about 4 trips a year (usually when the Rays play against Boston or the Yankees) We've done it a few times. The bus leaves from Spanish Springs. My husband and I are actually driving down to see the Rays today (by ourselves.) Go Rays !

When you go to Tropicana Field the first time, make sure you have plenty of time. The stadium has a lot of things to see. There is a Ted Williams museum with two floors of baseball memorabilia and it's free.

Ballpark is an easy drive of about 1 1/2 hours. We went to a 1:15 weekday game leaving at 11:00 and were home by 6:30 ( caught for a while in afternoon rush hour)

You can get tickets online at Stub Hub up to the day of the game usually at reduced prices and park for $5 to $10 just offsite depending on the game.

A fun day trip. Unless you have problems driving I would skip the bus.
