Cubs looked a little "flat" as they lose first playoff game to Cardinals. Maybe a little too much celebration following the wild card game. Good pitching by the Cards.

Big W ----advantage Cubs. Barring black cat plague, fan interference or the billy goat curse they have a very good chance to down a Bird! Go Cubs!

It's a W ----Jake Arrieta didn't have his best "stuff" but good enough. 6 home riuns by the Cubs set a major league post season record in the 8/6 win.

I love the Cubbies but was torn whether I was rooting for them or against the Cardinals. I need to figure out how to get up to Chicago for the next series to enjoy an Old Style.

With all the injuries the Cardinals had, it really helped the Cubs in this series. This is just a Cub fan giving some respect to the Cardinals. The "young guns" of the Cubs just would not be denied. Go Cubs go! Bring on the Dodgers or the Mets.

When the Cubs clinched last night, the local ABC, NBC, CBS affiliates and WGN interrupted their regular broadcasts from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. to broadcast the celebrations from Wrigley Field. It was quite a wonderful sight to see.

Now it is on the LA or New York this Saturday!
