Ernie's voice made you know that spring was here when you would turn on the radio and hear him announcing the game. He will be missed.

Both George Kell and Ernie Harwell were two great voices for the Detroit Tigers. They will both be missed. What a surprise when I moved to Ark and found out that George Kell had moved to Newport Ark where he grew up after he retired. Ernie was a great guy and prayers for his family at this time.

Great man....big loss. RIP Ernie from a former Detroit suburbanite who knew your voice well.
