LGY....LGY....LGY....LGY. The most exciting game in sports to me the seventh game of the Playoffs or World Series. It doesn't get any better than this. Let's see on the road game six could they win sure but that's not the Yankee way they have to drive your blood pressure up and take it to the seventh game. As usual I think we have them right where we want them. It's gonna be great! Especially since there is not Pro Football this year.

The initial post's on here remind me of the day's when Mr. Steinbrenner owned the team. If you are a long term Yankee fan did he drive us nuts or what? The thing I remember the most was His Facial Hair Policy. There will never be another team owner like him. What a great memory. He ran a tight ship!

Some non-Yankee fan Nucky???

The Astros are going to have a hard time with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Los Angeles Dodgers - Wikipedia

I was looking forward to a New York Yankees - Brooklyn (oops! L A.) Dodgers world series. They were foes six times during 1947 -56. What history!. Just think of the rosters for that period.

How is it that with the top two highest payrolls in baseball, these two teams don't meet every year.

How can the Yankees possibly have lost to the Houston Astros whose payroll is about 60% of the Yankees.

Baseball and all four major sports really should do something serious about a salary cap. This idea of adjusting for location is not working. Allow every team the same amount of money and let them go at it. Too many pennants and World Series have been bought.

Much truth in what you say. I think of the Steinbrenner years.

Only 158 days until opening day. Yipppee!!! How many years has the salary cap issue been around and what changes have been made? To travel to Yankee Stadium, tolls, pac the kar, have a soda and a hot dog and buy a pennant is easily $200 or more. I don't think your typical fan would go to the game unless top drawer talent is there, at least in N.Y. I'm rooting for the Astros they really showed me they've got heart.
