Yes I agree but he is needed as they have been throwing a lot of lefties at the Yankees and he needs to regain some semblance of his hitting form. He was heating up wheh he got hit and broke his finger. I can only hope he hits like he did in the 2009 playoffs.

I believe he is considered the most over rated player in baseball. He seems to balance the line-up for what it's worth.

Tom, it always seems to me that Arod will get a hit when the yanks are up by 4 runs, but when we need a hit from him in a key situation he doesn't come through. I don't know if my perceptions are accurate or not, but that's what it seems like to me. There must be some kind of stat we could look at to prove or disprove it.

The George Foster syndrome. He'll hit a three run homer with the score 9-2. Never liked Arod and I will never consider him a Yankee. There were many Yankees who come over by trade and have become real Yankees. Sparky Lyle, Paul O'Neill, Nettles, Pinellia and so many others. Even Ichiro agreed to bat at bottom of lineup, sit against lefties and play left field. To be a Yankee is an honor and I don't think AROD feels that way.

I think your perception is correct as I have noticed it also.

A-Fraud needs to come up bigger in clutch situations like Captain Clutch -Derek Jeter.

BTW - I think Jeter is having an MVP season.

As previously mentioned -After tonight's game, there are 37 left.
The NYY record this year against the 3 remaining "toughest" - Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Oakland is 11W and 17L.

NOT going to be an easy road but then again, they are THE NEW YORK YANKEES !!!!

Pettite coming back can change the whole dynamic of this pennant race! I think the last time I was worried about the Orioles was when Jim Palmer was pitching!
